Colin & Jill have been in the pub trade for 36 years starting at the Black Horse in Thetford, we purchased the Red Lion in August 2011 after the pub was closed for 2 years. After a full renovation we opened in March 2012.

We are a friendly family village pub with a rear beer garden and a childrens play area - serving pub food.

We also have monthly music and general knowledge quiz's and Ladies & Gents darts teams.

Want to keep up with the latest sports?
We have a television in the bar area and can play requested games, sports etc.
Are you bringing the children?
Our enclosed garden play area has swings, slides, crossbars and climbing frame to keep your children entertained.
Adult supervision is always advised.
Something for everyone!
Yes, although the smoking ban still exists out in the countryside we feel that we still need to accommodate those of you that like a cheeky cig so we have a smoking shelter in the beer garden & table and chairs out the front, enjoy! 
Are you travelling by car?
No worries, we have a large car parking area with plenty of space to park.
Our family friendly beer garden
We have a nice family & dog friendly beer garden with ample seating where you may sit and enjoy a nice pint or glass of rose in the sun, weather permitting of course.
Dogs are welcome.
We enjoy seeing friendly dogs, they are welcome in our bar area which is separate from the restaurant and they may also go in the beer garden or the tables out front.
Dogs must be kept under control and on a lead at all times.
